The Cultural Diversity music video is the creation of 2 members of SUMUP, Alessandro and Andyvazul. It provides an entertaining, at times comically overplayed, sample of the rich variety of the European cultural scene. Despite its comical nature, the characters also carry a symbolic role in the video. They represent different nationalities, demographics, social belongings, histories and traditions (as an exaggerated example of this the 'Romanian vampire' has no age, the 'Serbian gypsy' has no clear gender, etc.). The musical harmony created by these different peoples' inputs stands for the enriching influence the various European cultural expressions had and continue to have on each other. The significance of the original Greek idea of democracy for today's political systems, the contributions French poets made to literature, the impact of Italian opera on the development of music are all but examples of how, without the cross-fertilization of cultures, European culture as it is today would not exist.
Other characters, such as the 'Portuguese wrestler', the 'Hungarian water polo-player' (through sports) or the 'Spanish immigrant' (Zorro as the peace-bringer) stand to represent that battles and competitions are an integral part of the development and stability of nations.
