Although some people talk about the downfalls of paid acquisition, there is a lot of potential for growth. To leverage the benefits of paid acquisition, you need to devise a strategy for acquiring the right subscribers and understanding worthwhile channels.

It’s important to understand the value of a subscriber driven by different channels.

For example, acquiring a subscriber through advertising for another newsletter is probably more valuable than a subscriber picked up through Facebook. Although the Facebook-acquired subscriber might be cheaper, you are paying for a lower quality subscriber.

If you are looking to sustainably grow your newsletter audience, focus on investing in paid acquisition strategies that generate high quality subscribers.
