At first, after giving the corneal degeneration definition, on the basis of etiology, age-related corneal degenerations are explained. Next is the explanation of hyaline degeneration of cornea along with amyloid degeneration.

Its treatment includes the process of chelation, phototherapeutic keratectomy, and keratoplasty. Furthermore, medical students learn about salzmann’s nodular degeneration whose causative agent includes trachoma, phlyctenular and rosacea keratitis.
