Social media has gone into an uproar over the vague way the New York Police Department chose to describe the skin color of the suspected killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

This is how Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny described the suspect to the public in Wednesday's news conference.

This is who they are looking for! Does he look "light-skinned" to you?
We all know that "light-skinned" is almost exclusively followed by the word "Black."

The man they were looking for isn't light-skinned to me...he looks white!
