Professor David Graham of Newcastle University explains how research into the pollution of the Ganges River in India is shedding new light on how to tackle this global problem.
His team of experts from Newcastle University and the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, are using data from water samples along the length of the river to improve their understanding of how antibiotic resistant genes are spread.
