If you or someone you know would like to test metals with a Pocket Pinger, they’re available at CoinPingTest.com, Amazon, and eBay.
Disclaimer: All the risks associated with pinching a coin in between your fingers and then tapping it with plastic and/or wood are present when using the device. The ping test is used for alloy identification. Always compare the sound of a potential counterfeit with the sound of a known authentic or trusted data base. Any difference in sound is a strong indication that further testing is needed. Always use multiple testing methods.
The Pocket Pinger has contributed to catching over 100 fake coins, all confirmed.
If you catch one with yours please reach out. There’s a valuable lesson to share in each story.
Dozens of Pocket Pinger demo videos can be found on the profile.
A simple ping test really can save you from a counterfeit situation.
If you know someone that might like or benefit from this content please share it with them.
