Most of us love to unravel a mystery, such as ‘who did what to whom, and why. The mystery could be a murder or a disappearance. We are fascinated with crime and it’s perpetrators. We love the thrill of fear because as the reader or viewer, we know we are safe, the danger is contained, and does not impact our lives. There is the excitement of the chase and peering into another world and the criminal mind. At the end of the book or movie justice is done, the perpetrator is punished and loose ends have been tied up. We can feel safe again. The following story is a mystery with many twists and turns but in the end there was no satisfactory ending.
