Poland has signed a $295 million contract with US company General Atomics to purchase MQ-9B Sky Guardian drones, the country's defense minister announced on December 12. Amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Poland is ramping up its defense acquisitions, with defense spending expected to reach 4.7% of GDP by 2025. The Polish Ministry of Defense confirmed that the American-made drones will be delivered by the first quarter of 2027. In the meantime, the Polish military is leasing an older version of the drones.
