This video is a guide for those who want to breed the best wild type betta, Betta Imbellis. I will go over some traits that I believe are ideal when selecting breeding stocks. I will also go over some traits to avoid that are indicative of hybridization. Betta imbellis are one of the most commonly hybridized fish sold in the market and finding a true Wild stock can actually be very difficult due to a large number of Thai farmers and just the general lack of knowledge around this species.
