This year, we’ve had the pleasure of driving several electric vehicles produced by the Hyundai-Kia group, including the Kia EV6, Hyundai IONIQ 5 and most recently the orb-adorned Genesis GV60.

All three of those vehicles benefit from the Hyundai-Kia e-GMP platform, a dedicated electric vehicle platform that brings plenty of design flexibility and rapid-charging prowess, but today we’re looking at a slightly different beast from the same auto group: the Genesis G80 Electrified.
Sold as little more than a compliance car, this luxury vehicle wants to be a lot more than just an electrified version of Genesis’ largest electric sedan. But does it manage that?
