Today I would like to introduce an established female artist, Cecily Brown, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This is her first major museum survey in New York since she moved to New York from London in the 1990s. Over fifty paintings, drawings, and monotypes are exhibited, exploring the complex themes of still life, memento mori, mirroring, and the vanitas.
