Join me as I wrap up this polymer clay and resin, sculpture of a fantasy bird began all the way back in 2014! Yes, I really did start this way back then. I did, however, stop working on it for a few years, because I wanted to catch the rest of the process on video, to share with ya'll! Unfortunately, I did create a good portion of this sculpture off camera, due to not having the space or equipment available when this piece began, hence the grainy pic.s in the first half of the video. I did, however, get all equipment need to share the final (and I believe, most exciting part) stages of this creation, and hope you enjoy the process as much as I have! This piece started as an exploration of materials, and a way for me to zone out and enjoy the meditative quality of the creation process. Creating art is my medicine, and I hope the process I am able to share with you, provides you some value as well.
