Bright blue flowers with darker veins and a white eye. The seed capsule is shorter than the calyx. Leaves are opposite or very short-stalked, ovate, coarse-toothed and downy. Creeping or ascending straggling stems, the main stem with two rows of hairs. Height: To 50cm

Common in grassland, field edges, gardens, hedges and on roadsides.
