Title:
Understanding teamwork in healthcare and implications for implementation science
About the presentation:
Teamwork in healthcare is fundamental to high quality care but improving teamwork is challenging. Team structures are complex, dynamic and varied. Effective clinical work is highly adaptive and teams must respond safely and effectively to challenges and problems as they unfold. How do we define, analyse and improve teamwork in this complex environment? In this presentation I will discuss recent research on adaptive teamwork in healthcare that addresses these questions and consider the implications for implementation science.
