More than 200 tourism companies bring holidaymakers from the central and southern Iraqi provinces to the Kurdistan Region during the Eid EL-KABIR holiday, with each tourist estimated to be spending 300 Dollars during their stay,
Considering its moderate temperature compared to the rest of the country, the Kurdistan Region hosts hundreds of thousands of tourists each year, mostly from Iraq’s southern and central provinces, around the time of holidays and traditional celebrations.
