Our main manufacturing plant is in Linyi, China, strategically located between Shanghai and Beijing. In this plant, that measures over 1 127 000m2, equal to 158 football fields, SDLG produces many types of construction machinery products and around 40 000 machines leave the factory every year, to markets all over the world.
In modern and intelligent production-lines SDLG produces wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, excavators and road machinery. All in compliance with the Volvo Production System. And as a part of the sustainable development work, the entire facility is partly powered by solar cells.
Automated assembly, new technology, together with well trained and skilled staff working in a safe environment, drives efficient manufacturing with high and reliable quality.
An important part of the machine’s performance is the inspection and quality control of components. SDLG engineers and technicians are testing machines and components rigorously on a daily basis. Together with Volvo Tech Center in the neighbouring city Jinan SDLG strives for producing machines to live up to our brand’s main pillar: “Reliability in Action”
For SDLG innovation is a powerful tool for driving technological transformation. Here, at the experience centre, SDLG showcases the latest innovations and glimpses of the future, electric excavator , remote control of machines and operation status of over 70 000 machines in real time. All this thanks to application systems, established by SDLG in co-operation with universities and tech companies.
