While global oil prices continue to remain near record low levels, South Africa is moving ahead with plans to develop an oil and gas industrial development zone. The country's coastline has witnessed increased activity in the last couple of years as more and more oil and gas exploration happens on the continent's east and west coasts. The port of Saldanha Bay, two hours drive from Cape Town, has been selected, mainly because the harbour has earmarked 330 hectares for the development. Angelo Coppola reports.
