For most of the 21st century, the state of California and the greater American West has been suffering a series of crippling droughts, each seemingly worse than the last. In response, California has taken strict measures to make its citizens conserve water, but it never seems to be enough. That's because it never can be — the droughts are very real, but California's water crisis is completely artificial. In this video, I explain how and why this is the case, and what we can do to address this problem.
