@AfroHouseKingII The iconic IKEA shop in the industrial quarter of North London is to be transformed into the world’s biggest nightclub, Drumsheds. The Broadwick company, which is spearheading the project, wants to make sure that the thousand square metres of space inside are not wasted. Forget about the IKEA, and embrace Drumsheds – a hybrid ‘home’ devoted to music and nightlife. The club will be divided into two spaces: the ‘X-Room’ (10,000 m², with soaring ceilings and amazing acoustics) and the ‘Y’ (5,000 m2, with amazing acoustics and capacity for nearly 5,000 people). “Drumsheds’ opening is a sign that there’s a trend emerging in the Old World,” says Mr Aldred.
