Starting next year in England, all cat owners must get their cats microchipped with their contact details. This keeps cats safe and helps find them if they're lost. If owners don't do this, they might get fined £500. Kittens need to be microchipped before they're 20 weeks old, and owners who haven't done it will have 21 days to get it done.
