Class Preview:
This course provides an introduction to evidence-based practice and a general overview of neuropathy. It outlines the important biological factors of etiology in the various types of neuropathies and develops an evidence-based practice model through the review of current and historically significant research on acupuncture and neuropathy. The course then introduces an evidence-based treatment template and applies it through case study analysis. By the end of the course, participants should be confident in having a strong evidence-based approach to treating neuropathy with acupuncture. This includes the ability to discuss the biomedical effects of acupuncture treatment with specific details about the relevant biomarkers of neuropathy and how to use this information in patient education.
