The new Albanian Prime Minister, Bashkim Fino of the main opposition Socialist Party, said on Wednesday (12/3) he hoped his appointment would be a first step to finding a way out of the crisis gripping the country.
Fino met President Sali Berisha on Wednesday, and then traveled to Socialist Party headquarters, where he met with Rexhap Mejdani, the Secretary-General of his party.
Berisha is hoping Fino's appointment will help end the insurgent rule in the south.
