The sika deer of the Nara Prefecture are wild, free, and in no way domesticated. They roam the streets of Nara like the elk stroll through Estes Park, CO (only the sika deer will bow respectfully in exchange for a cracker rather than trample you to death just for the fun of it like the elk will.)
