It's pretty clear that bike lights help with visibility but we wanted to see just how much they, and fluoro and reflective jackets, help out in various light conditions.

We're not going to give various bike lights a rating in this video, rather, we've taken a set of basic LED lights, more expensive LED lights, some expensive bike lights and a wildcard - cheap eBay lights, and we're going to show you just how visible they are in low light, streetlights and pitch black.

We've done the same with black clothing, fluoro clothing and reflective jackets too.
