Are you a Postgrad or final year student looking to write or refine your CV? Our Global Employability Manager Grainne Carey has three top tips to put together a really effective, high quality CV suitable for the Irish jobs market.

Tip 1.
Tailor and target your CV.

Think about who your CV is targeted at. Recruiters receive hundreds of CVs so you need to make sure you are marketing yourself well. Your CV should be:
- Well laid-out.
- Easy to read.
- Tailored to the job description.


Tip 2.
Avoid common CV errors.

CVs with the following errors are often automatically rejected by employers:
- Spelling mistakes.
- Poor grammar.
- Bad formatting.
- Too short or too long – it should be 2 pages max!
