It's been a long time since playing a game put a smile on my face, but ANNO 1800 succeeded with this on so many levels.
First off, I have to thank the wonderful teams at Intel and Ubisoft for inviting me for the Closed Beta, allowing me to play this for free.
Secondly, I finally fixed my sound issues by obtaining a Yeti Blue Microphone. I know the background sound may still be too loud but I HOPE this is *so* much better now.
There are no spoilers here, just some gameplay and first impressions.
