This is the first of a seven part series of clips covering the rail traffic on the Worcester - Voorbaai section.
The section is worked by 35 Class diesels of the 35-000 and 35-400 series. Designed by General Electric and manufactured in South Africa by Dorman Long Locomotive. Both sub classes belong to the same model GE U15C.
Filming was done in Ashton, Robertson and mostly the smaller sidings around Worcester Western Cape, South Africa. The daily freight departs Worcester every weekday at approximately 7:00 a.m. and returns any time after 3:00 p.m. Loads generally consist of fuel, grain and cement.
This video is made up of many single clips and short train chases where I've filmed the same consist at different locations. All new clips are dated and the chase footage is in chronological order.
All filming was done with my old Sony without any sound protection.
