The Marauder MAD-9M is known for two things: its ECM capability and its +1 IS ER LL Heat Scale Limit quirk, meaning that it can fire 4 IS ER Large Lasers at once without generating ghost heat. However, it also has another distinct feature. Like the MAD-5D, it has two missile hardpoints. Unlike the MAD-5D which has both missile hardpoints on its left side torso, the MAD-5M has a missile hardpoint on each of its side torsos, meaning that you can fit in two MRM 40s and still have podspace for a light engine. Now, firing two MRM 40s will generate some ghost heat, but an 80 damage burst is just too good to pass on.
