Instructional strategies are specific techniques, steps, or supports that help improve a
student’s performance in work environments. Instructional strategies are individualized to
the student and are intended to be monitored for effectiveness.
Educators use instructional strategies to help students progress in a certain academic area to reach goals and standards. Strategies are also used to assist students with meeting the standards for completing authentic tasks in an employment setting. The authentic assessment component provides the information needed to increase learning and focus for required strategies for specific work tasks or workplace readiness skills.
