XC bikes are one of the biggest categories in mountain biking, and the sport as a whole is growing in popularity year on year. But just how much have XC bikes changed in the last 10-years?
The bike industry is an ever marching procession of new cycling tech and innovation.
While it may feel like the industry is just making new tech for the sheer sake of it (and that is sometimes true!), these innovations are often for the better. We would argue this is nowhere more apparent than with XC bikes, which now look drastically different to what we were riding only 10-years ago.
So, with that in mind, here are some of the key ways XC bikes have changed, and why we think this is a good thing for everyone who rides them.
