In this video I take You behind the scenes of my trip to Flói nature reserve in Iceland. I ll be photographing shorebirds and sharing my techniques with You.
Rich birdlife of the reserve is what brought me there. I wanted to focus on photographing shorebirds, especially Icelandic subspecies of Black-tailed godwit, red-necked phalarope and reshank. Photographing wildlife in this reserve ment we had to shoot either from a gravel road or a small wlking path in the middle of the reserve. I'm sharing some tips about backgrounds and perspective as well as how to get separation between the subject and the backdrop. Strong winds didn't stop me from seeing a family of red-troathed divers and a small dunlin that came super close to my lens! I also have pleasure photographing european golden plovers and whooper swans. Using canon R5 I'm able to get the best quality images. If You enjoyed the video make sure to SUBSCRIBE cause next week we will go and visit Puffins!!!
