Tamilnadu Government Arts and Science Colleges run under Two Shift System from 2006 - 07 Onwards. From this Academic Year 2020 - 21, 50 out of 109 Government Arts and Science Colleges will run as Single Shift, due to various academic related reasons to improve the skills and academic performance of the students further.

For this purpose, the Govt has released the revised Time Schedule to be followed by that 50 Government arts and science colleges from this academic year.

After providing required infra structure facilities, the remaining 59 colleges will also come to single shift.
