Artist Julia Retz (Campinas, São Paulo, 1987) discusses how she was inspired by Céline Condorelli's concept of "support structures" to see furniture as sustaining and supporting various activities. She views chairs and tables as essential for educational processes, workshops, and performances. Her work aims to interact with different situations and people, adapting to support diverse experiences and forms of inhabiting.
Julia Retz is part of Salta art's 2024 program and will be undertaking a residency at Ebenböckhaus, Munich from 7 October to 20 December, 2024.
