We are thrilled to share the highlights from our recent workshop on dyeing, drying, and coating. Despite the rain, the few dedicated individuals who joined us turned this workshop into a colourful and creative adventure!
🎨 During the workshop, participants explored the art of dyeing materials grown from bacterial cellulose (SCOBY) using a range of vibrant natural dyes like beetroot, hibiscus, butterfly pea tea, and turmeric. The results were simply stunning, showcasing the beauty of eco-friendly, sustainable creations.
🌞 We also explored the intricate process of drying and coating our bio-based materials with a combination of beeswax and coconut oil. The rain may have come down, but the spirits of creativity and innovation were there!
💡 This workshop was a testament to the dedication of our community and their enthusiasm for sustainable materials. We are immensely grateful to everyone who participated, shared their insights, and embraced the challenge of a rainy day.
🌱 As we move forward on this exciting journey, we can't wait to see how these materials will continue to evolve.
Thank you for being a part of our mission to create a sustainable future. Together, we are making a difference, one material at a time. 💪
