The driver of the black SUV turning into Barnestaple RD from Great North Rd was pretty irate at the pedestrian crossing the road. Problem is, the pedestrian had right of way. Amazing how many drivers don't understand this rule - or they ignore it because "might is right".
We suggested that these intersections should have been converted into continuous footpaths as part of the Five Dock shopping precinct upgrade. Council ignored these suggestions. You have to wonder if they are serious about making the area attractive for shoppers to walk around or not.
