Scientists on Svalbard, in between Norway and the North Pole have constructed a seed storage facility deep inside the mountains, to preserve all species of plants and crops in case of a 'Doomsday' event - that is the possibilty of catastrophic climate change damage or other natural phenomena destroying plant life in regions around the world.
