Here is a quick little video of the 401 we built for a customer's 70 AMX that we have been restoring. We used the Edelbrock 7132 cam and lifters along with Edelbrock aluminum heads plus a Torker and Holley 770 Avenger (as I recall) and Doug 1 3/4" headers. It sounds pretty mean with open headers. The car's owner wanted to reuse his fender mounted Accel coil which looks very period correct for a car with day 2 upgrades. The Edelbrock 7132 and 2132 cam and lifter kits are the only flat tappet cams we are currently using due to really poor quality of currently available flat tappet lifters from pretty much all other sources. So far, knock on wood, we have not had a single failure after installing 6 Edelbrock cam kits. Contrarily, we had three cam and lifter failures in a row right after lifters came back available after they were unavailable for nearly 9 months mid 2021 to spring 2022. Sounds pretty gnarly to my ears!
