Deadbolt Lock DIY Home-made Protector Guard Latch Jam

No installation required! If you would like added security from other copies of your key, or from lock-pickers, you can make this simple deadbolt protector mechanism from any rigid material, such as cardboard, plastic, wood, or metal. The layers of cardboard are just as effective as metal, since it would require a lot of force to tear the layers using a key. Just one more tip: Make the deadbolt hole very snug so that it does not fall off by shaking the door. You can add a little hanger or rope to hang it on the knob when not in use. And for heaven's sake, make yours look nicer than this one!
