Hola ! Hi everybody, its been a long time since my last video upload, but im back ! In this video i will show you how to play Junior Kimbrough's song Meet me in the City in Standard tuning (in the key of E)
As you may know Junior plays this song in open G tuning (I got a lesson in that tuning too, so look in my channel if you want to learn the song in the same tuning as the album version)
But im doing this series of lessons of classic Hill Country Blues in standard tuning, because its easier to sing this way, and i know sometimes, if you have a really expensive and carefully calibrated guitar you don't want to mess around changing tunings or if your guitar got the Stratocaster bridge or a Floyd Rose bridge, its a nightmare to change the tuning !
So if you love Hill Country Blues and Junior Kimbrough blues, and you want to play this kind of stuff in your good old standard tuning, this is the video you've been looking for !!
