Different countries have different standards for faucets, which are based on flow tests.
The flow test of the faucet means that detecting the flow characteristics of the faucet at a certain temperature and pressure to judge the flow and sealing, so as to judge the quality of the faucet.
Generally speaking, the requirements for test in North America are:
The minimum flow rate is 0.14MPa (20PSI).
The maximum flow is tested under pressure of 0.41MPa;
The maximum flow of sprinkler head is tested at 38C hot water and 0.55MPa pressure.
The requirements for test in China and Europe are as follows:
Bathtub faucet flow rate is greater than 20 L/min under 0.3MPa pressure; Faucets for washbasin, clean body, shower, kitchen and other purposes should flow less than 9 L/min under 0.1MPa pressure.
Too large or too small faucet flow is not conducive to water saving.
When the faucet flow is too low, there may be a problem with the faucet valve, or slag clogged.
Therefore, through the flow test of the faucet, we can have a further understanding of its velocity, pressure and quality.
