Mirvac engaged a team of international experts including Marr Contracting, Robert Bird Group and Kordia, to develop a solution for dismantling the iconic TCN-9 TX Tower in Willoughby, Sydney.
Built in 1965, the 233-metre transmission tower served as one of the 'Artarmon Triangle' broadcasting landmarks before being decommissioned in 2021. The deconstruction was part of Mirvac's plan to redevelop the site into a residential community.
Through an innovative and collaborative approach, the team designed and managed the complex process of dismantling the Sydney landmark safely and efficiently.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS:
