On Day 4 of our adventures in New Zealand, we took a TOUR OF THE HOBBITON MOVIE SET which was a big check mark off of our bucket list! The movie set is situated on the picturesque Alexander Farm and it’s obvious to see why this is the perfect backdrop for Tolkien’s Middle-earth. We were absolutely amazed by the beauty of the green pastures and the unique details of the Hobbit Holes. The whole experience was definitely a dream come true!

Later that day, we left The Shire and headed to the REDWOODS TREEWALK at night time where we trekked along suspension bridges high above the forest floor. All the redwoods and ferns were illuminated by enchanting lanterns and colorful lights. The night hike was so much fun and turned into one of the unexpected highlights of our trip.
