OpTic Gaming is one of the more storied organizations within the competitive side of the Call of Duty franchise. Established in 2006 by OpTic KR3W for the aspirations of becoming a Call of Duty sniping team, they are now much more than that. Only leading OpTic for a short time, KR3W steps down and OpTic Jon3S then takes his place (You may know him as OpTicJ). Jon3S only leading the team for a very short time span as well, in 2007, steps down to then hand over the team to Hector “H3CZ” Rodriguez. H3CZ running the team for two years before uploading their first video to YouTube in 2009. Making a name for himself as well as OpTic Gaming, H3CZ and his team now have over 1,000,000 YouTube subscribers. The same year OpTic Gaming started uploading to YouTube, H3CZ had established a Call of Duty competitive team that would become one of the most storied teams to play the game.
Denial eSports is a North American eSports organization, sponsoring multiple teams across various games such as League of Legends, Smite, Starcraft II, Call of Duty, Guild Wars 2, Tribes: Ascend and fighting games. In Call of Duty: Ghosts, Denial has been able to maintain a top 8 MLG team in Season 3 of 2014 with a roster consisting of Replays as their Captain, ZooMaa, StuDyy, and Saints.
In the 2014 season, Denial would start off strong by becoming the champions of UMG Dallas 2014. After beating almost every opposing team with 3-0 victories in each series, the players went home with a shared $10,000, and individually their only 1st placings at a national event.
Its November,28,2014 and the MLG Columbus Open 25k has begun. Denial eSports have their first match with Stunner Gaming in pool play, continuing with a matchup against FaZe and finishing pool play with a match against an open bracket team. Denial started their winners bracket slow losing to Team EnvyUs 3-2 moving them to losers round 4 where they played Automatic Reload winning in a grand fashion 3-1. Eliminating Automatic Reload from the tournament then moving to losers round 5 3-0 sweeping JusTus. Denial made it all the way through losers to play FaZe losing 3-2 eliminating Denial from the MLG Columbus 25k.
