美, 코로나 감염 수직상승…약1년 만에 하루 확진자 20만명 넘어

For the first time in almost a year, the U.S. is seeing a daily average of more than 200-thousand COVID-19 infections.
The Omicron variant is accounting for the vast majority.
Data compiled by the New York Times shows the daily average over seven days hit 201-thousand-330... a 69 percent increase from two weeks prior.
There has also been a rise in infections among minors.
COVID-19 infections among those under eighteen as of December sixteenth had risen by 170,000 from a week earlier.
