Subway sandwiches are tasty and healthy at the same time. You will love this homemade Subway bread and chicken tikka sandwich.This is an easy recipe for home baked bread and can be perfectly baked by even beginners.These sandwiches taste awesome and is a must try recipe.
Ingredients
Flour- ½ kg
Powdered sugar-1½ tbsp
Yeast- 2tsp
Salt- 1 ½ tsp
Oil- 4 tbsp
Melted Butter- 2 tbsp
Lukewarm Milk- ½ cup
Water- 1 cup
Egg -1
Milk -1 tsp
Method
How to make bread
Activate yeast by mixing yeast and ½ tbsp sugar in lukewarm water.
In a mixing bowl mix flour, salt, sugar.
Add activated yeast.
Add oil, butter, milk and mix
Add water slowly and knead the dough
Knead well for 5 to 10 minutes until it become smooth
Brush with oil and keep it covered
Allow to rise for 2 hours
Divide into four
Shape the dough
Roll and pinch the seams and shape into a roll
Place on parchment paper lined baking tray
Allow to rise for 30 minutes
Score it with a knife.
Mix egg and milk.Give egg wash
Sprinkle mixed herbs or sesame seeds
Bake at 180 C for 25 to 30 minutes
Chicken Tikka sandwich
Allow the bread to cool down for atleast 4 hours
Slice the bread into two halves
Place the cheese slice cut in triangle shape on one side.
Toast the bread for 1 minute
Place the vegetables
Lettuce, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Capsicum, Olives, Jalapenos are used here
Chicken tikka is added
Add the sauces
Barbecue sauce, mustard sauce, chilli sauce, tomato sauce and Mayonnaise are used here
