WHO AM I?

My name is Kit and you can say that I was not a born natural speaker. Public speaking didn't always come easy for me. In fact, I used to say "I don't know" all of the time or I just didn't speak up. My body would physically take over whenever I had to speak in public because of my nerves (my shoulders would bounce up and down!).

However, I KNEW that if I wanted to be a strong leader and succeed professionally, I needed to excel in public speaking. I started watching videos, reading books, taking classes, and then because I fell in love with it, I started teaching public speaking.

When you see a “natural” on stage, it’s easy to think that he or she was just “born with it,” but the truth is, appearing effortless when presenting comes down to dedicating yourself to the art and science of speaking.

-Think of the art of speaking as finding your style, experimenting with your speaking, or bringing out your best authentic speaking self.
-Think of the science of speaking as the mechanics, the structures, or the techniques.
