I got this Vox AC50CP to look at. It had no output sound, but the power section was fine. I didn't have any luck finding a schematic for this, but fortunately it ended up being a pretty simple repair, the rectifier for the preamp DC filament supply had failed open. I replaced it (and the caps in that circuit to be safe) and it lives!
