Chapli Kabab is a delightful dish that fills the room with enticing aromas and delights the taste buds with its distinct flavor. Ingredients:
2 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
500g ground meat (red meat of your choice)
¼ cup + 2 tbsp water
2 small onions, chopped (approximately 1 cup)
1 tsp chili flakes
2 green chilies, finely chopped
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp garlic (approximately 4-5 large cloves), finely chopped
¼ tsp baking soda
1¼ tsp salt (or adjust to taste)
2 tbsp green onion, chopped
1 tsp anar dana powder (pomegranate seeds powder)
1 medium tomato, chopped
1 tbsp breadcrumbs
2 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions:
In a pan, add the coriander seeds and roast them over medium heat for a minute.
Add the cumin seeds and continue to toast for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Adjust the heat as necessary.
Allow the roasted seeds to cool, then crush them coarsely using a mortar and pestle.
In a wide pan, add the ground meat and mix well with water to make it juicy.
Add the chopped onions to the meat and knead the mixture until the meat changes color, about 5-6 minutes.
Add the coarsely crushed spices to the meat, followed by the chili flakes, chopped green chilies, pepper, finely chopped garlic, baking soda, and salt.
Add chopped green onions and anar dana powder. Mix well.
Once thoroughly mixed, add the chopped tomatoes and breadcrumbs.
Apply a little water to your hands, then take a portion of the meat mixture and shape it into a thin disk.
Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the meat disk to the pan, using a spatula to press down on the kabab to retain its flat shape.
Cook over medium-low heat for 4-5 minutes.
Serve your chapli kabab with paratha or flavored rice. Enjoy your delicious homemade chapli kabab!
