This piece was commissioned by the New Haven Symphony Orchestra and premiered at the Symphony's Gala, RISE, on February 6, 2021.

From Anton Kot:
“RISE” depicts the visual movements of breath, rising and falling. In this piece, a breath begins in slow motion, filling and gaining momentum, then releases as it goes back to its original state. There can be feeling of fullness as air enters the lungs, and with it the warmth that comes after an exhale. something exaggerated if you’ve eaten a Tic Tac mint. As the breath concludes, it elicits a sense of satisfaction, preparing for the next journey of a breath's rise and fall.
