Ottawa police in riot gear swept through Canada’s capital retaking control of the streets around the Parliament buildings. Cops claimed to end the siege of Ottawa after three weeks of protests. The Freedom Convoy demonstrations initially started with the focus on Canada’s vaccine requirement for truckers entering the country. The protest however soon turned against Covid-19 precautions and Canadian government. Police have arrested over 170 demonstrators in 2 days.
